The Poland International Education Conference Warsaw 2008 is over. Altogether in attendance there were 240 participants representing 30 countries from four continents. Over 80 of Poland’s higher education institutions were represented. It was a real pleasure to host our many distinguished participants. The Conference’s speakers generously shared their unique and in-depth knowledge on numerous aspects of the internationalization of higher education. The University of Warsaw held the welcoming reception at its gracious 17th-century Kazimierz Palace, and offered both its Old and New Libraries as venues for the Conference. The City of Warsaw generously wined and dined us at the gala Conference dinner in the historic hall where Marie Curie-Sklodowska once worked and lectured. I wish to thank all our speakers and participants for their valuable contribution to the process of internationalizing higher education. Those of you who would like to relive your Conference experience are welcome to view the photo gallery and read the speakers’ presentations.
